Journal

You are required to write a journal during the whole course. The journal shall consist of daily summaries and comments upon the lectures. There is no formal requirement for number of words - your notes should make it clear that you understood the main points of the lecture. You may also wish to add notes on papers you could read to follow up on the topic. Notes will be returned.

The journal should be submitted by Monday November 14th to ian.donaldson@biotek.uio.no in PDF format. If you cannot provide an electronic version, please make arrangements with Ian to deliver your journal in person.

Student presentation

Presentations should be accompanied by slides (circa 15-20) describing your Ph.D. thesis work - problem area, hypotheses, methods, results (if any to date). Presentations should be 15-20 minutes. Questions can take an additional 5 minutes.

Course evaluation

You must fill out a course evaluation before December 1st, 2011.

Participation is mandatory. Answers are anonymous.

See https://nettskjema.uio.no/answer.html?fid=47736&lang=en

Your answers must be entered in one session (you cant save a partially filled out form) so keep notes and complete the form on the last day of the course.
