Antonio Mora
What am I doing?
I am a PhD student at IMBV (University of Oslo) and I belong to Donaldson's group (Biotechnology Centre of Oslo) since October, 2006. Currently, I am working in two different areas: Agent-based modeling of cellular pathways and Protein Interaction Network Analysis. I am also part of the courses MBV-3070, MBV-3020, MBV-4010 and MBV-INF 4410, as a teaching assistant.
Agent-based modeling of cellular pathways
I have been working in a method to represent both molecules and the context in which cellular reactions occur, using autonomous agents, and creating a software for visualization and spatio-temporal simulation of signaling pathways based on such a concept.

Protein Interaction Network Analysis
Currently, I am doing statistical analysis of the human protein interaction network generated from the iRefIndex interaction database. I have compared both CORUM and iRefIndex protein complex databases to groups of proteins that are assumed to be involved in the same disease (DiG), in order to computationally determine all known diseases that might be related to known protein complexes in humans.
